Minneriya national park covers an area of 8889 hectares of land, the elephants gather around the lake, as the lake dries out and the area gets smaller you will see more elephants gathered around the small area.

Situated a short drive from Galle town, it is not hard to locate the hotel. Surrounded by majestic stone walls, as you go in, the hotel gives this feel of entering a fort. As we entered, we were greeted with warm smiles and delicate lotus flowers, a lovely touch and a perfect start.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress holds a very special place in my heart, having visited it four times and climbed twice it never fails to amaze me every time. This is a place that I would recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
